The story thus far...

Torontonian David R. Starr is a digital graphics artist and interactive designer living in Toronto, Canada. He is skilled in many technical and creative areas, with a particular focus on web and 3D.

Since childhood he has had a natural "eye" and fascination with technology. By age 12 he was funding his growing Street Fighter II addiction by selling TMNT drawings to classmates.

In his teenage years he began exploring more digital realms, including ANSI and ASCII text-based console artwork for local bulletin board systems. This evolved naturally to HTML web design in the mid-to-late 1990s. Since then he has been working in graphics and digital animation for web and broadcast.

He has attained college degrees in programming and animation, and he enjoys working with advanced tools like Maya and Python because, according to him They involve a high degree of both artistic and technical thinking.

Currently, David seeks to push his creative boundaries in the games industry. He is fascinated by our evolving and connected world. He's excited about the future of digital entertainment and interactive information. His most promethian highs come from the creation of "virtual" characters and creatures.

His craziest dreams include playing live drums for an extreme metal band, and making that which is memorable and fun! If you're still curious, check out his on-line gallery, demo reel, or simply give him a shout.
